Programs

One scanner. Different code formats.

A program profile tells Enter Rewards what a printed code should look like, so it can ignore the rest of the packaging. Profiles are kept separate from the scanner itself.

Built-in profiles

  • Codes like XXXXX-XXXX-XXXX

For 13-character codes printed in groups of five, four and four, like 7K4ND-2B9F-XR6T. Its rules were tuned on real printed codes of this shape: it looks for the printed grouping, sends look-alike characters to review, and offers a second version to try when a character such as 2 or Z could be either. It is built for codes that don't use the vowels A, E, I, O or U, or the digits 0 and 1, so any reading containing them goes to review.

After you scan, the app shows the first web address it found printed on your photos and asks whether that's where you enter the codes. Confirm it or type the right one, then save it as your own program with a name, so next time you pick it from the list and skip that step.

    Built in
  • Any other printed code

Finds printed codes of 6 to 24 letters and numbers, ignoring spaces and hyphens. It works with any program, but because it isn't tuned to one format it can also pick up addresses, phone numbers and lot codes, so expect a few more items to check.

    Built in

No program is named in the app yet; a program will be listed here once a code of ours has been accepted on its own site. Neither reader above carries a website of its own. Both offer the web address printed on your photos, you confirm or correct it, and you can save that as your own named program.

Your own programs

Programs you save are kept on your phone only, with the name you gave them, the code rules and the web address you confirmed. They show at the top of the program list. Long-press one to delete it; batches you scanned with it keep their codes and address.

Request a program

A dedicated profile is added only after its printed format has been tested reliably and the program is appropriate for a public app. A profile should make recognition better, not just add a name to a list. Any new profile would arrive in an app update.

To suggest a program, use the support form: choose Something else and include the program's name and a description of how its codes are printed. We can't promise to add every request.

Independent utility

Enter Rewards does not run any rewards program and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any program. Program names, websites and trademarks belong to their owners. Supporting a code format does not mean a program endorses or works with Enter Rewards.
